Just back from a visit to Rabós, Catalunya, Spain, supporting natural wine-makers Dido and Jurriaan.  They produce excellent natural wines for the last six years in two companies: Vinyes Tortuga, www.vinyestortuga.com and Fruita Analogica, www.fruitaanalogica.com

The ambition to grow further and merge two companies into one, brought them to me with a request to help the integration and grow their leadership to a next level.

The art of producing and selling wine needs dedicated leadership and specific skills and expertise. The repetitive dynamics of the wine-making and selling processes during the year, in combination with the unpredictability of weather, diseases and strong competition, makes winemaking a challenging business.

Dido, Jurriaan and myself focused during three days on the different aspects of leadership, understanding the different dynamics, processes and requirements.

Budgeting, accounting, business planning, sales, cash management, labor and people management. All was discussed explored and conclusions recorded in a.o. balance-sheets and budgets for the coming year(s).

No doubt you’ll hear more from these excellent winemakers in the coming years.
